While the world of
online shopping
continues to evolve, so does the need for
tools
that enhance the
shopping
experience. One tool that has emerged in the
Chrome Extension
Store is the "Add to Buyee" Chrome extension. Despite promising to simplify the shopping experience on major Japanese online shops, user reviews and the aggregate rating suggest it falls short of expectations.
A Comprehensive Analysis of the "Add to Buyee" Extension
The "Add to Buyee" Chrome extension offers users an easy way to add items to their
shopping cart
from a variety of major Japanese online shops. After installing the extension, users should simply click the "Add to Buyee" icon in the toolbar when they open an item page, and the item should be added to their Buyee cart. However, user feedback and a rather low rating of 2.74 out of 5 on the Chrome extension store indicate that the reality is not as rosy as it might seem.
Identifying the Extension's Shortcomings
Most negative reviews can be distilled into a few main issues: the extension's inability to work on specific sites, the limitation on the types of items that can be added to the cart, and the overall unreliability of the extension. Positive feedback is rare, with users like Eric Domingo and Frostheart claiming the extension is 'useless' or not functioning. Others have experienced issues with the extension's cart functionality, citing problems when adding items from an
online shopping wishlist
to their Buyee cart.
Is the "Add to Buyee" Extension Worth Your Time?
Based on user reviews and the extension's low rating, it's clear that the "Add to Buyee" Chrome extension falls short of expectations. While it may be a convenient online shopping assistant when it works, its shortcomings make it unreliable and often frustrating to use. If you're looking for a dependable shopping list organizer or deal aggregator, it'd be best to explore other top Chrome extensions with higher aggregate ratings and more positive user reviews.
Conclusion
In the ever-growing Chrome extension store, it's essential to choose tools that enhance rather than impede your online shopping experience. While the "Add to Buyee" Chrome extension may initially seem like a handy shopping list manager, the reality is that it's riddled with functionality issues, making it a less than ideal tool for managing your online shopping wishlist. We recommend seeking out more reliable shopping list apps and deal aggregators to ensure a smooth and convenient online shopping experience.

tried using on babies r us jp so i can get unique xmas gifts for my little boy, followed the instructions however the product doesn't show up on the extension
Booth.pm current usage: the URL must be https://booth.pm/en/items/####. An item's "true" url is https://CREATOR.booth.pm/items/####. Copy the #### over to the first URL format and then open the Buyee extension again, it should recognize the item after. (/en/ can be swapped for any of the available languages.)
Used it for Amazon jp. It wasn't wanting to add product in the cart. So what I ended up doing was while not logged into amazon. I added the product in the cart > then went back to the product page and it let me add it using the extension after that. Hopefully this helps those who use it for Amazon jp.
Completely useless. Tried to use it on amazon and it simply doesnt work.
doesnt work for anything on booth
Not work on AMAZON JP
It work for shop.lashinbang.com in the past but now it does not work.
Extension is useless. trying to buy from amazon japan only for the price on the add to buyee button to be nothing everytime i add a certain product. on certain products the price shows up and it successfully adds to cart but on other products when it shows no price at all and tries to add to cart it says "We are sorry that we could not put this item into Buyee cart." and even when i manually put the price on the extension it still doesn't work. There should NOT be a limitation to what I can add to cart, because if there is then honestly that just proves my point of this extension being useless.
"The item is not available for the service." -every item on booth
IDK why but it stopped working for me. It just shows up that you can bookmark the site but not that you can add to your cart.
Don't even bother. If an Amazon JP item says they cannot deliver to you location outside of Japan then it doesn't give you the option to 'Add to cart' Makes the proxy page/service completely useless
Installed it, didn't work. I couldn't add anything to my cart, decided to uninstall-reinstall and it worked even less than before. Not even the text showed. Was honestly a waste of time.
